Manning to Have X-Rays on Thumb

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was to undergo X-rays today on his injured right thumb.

Manning suffered the injury when he hit his hand on the helmet of an offensive lineman on his follow-through on a fourth-quarter throw during Sunday's triumph over the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game. Manning finished the game and said afterward he would be fine for the Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears.

Colts Coach Tony Dungy echoed that sentiment today.
