Marinelli Planning to Hire Son-In-Law as Lions' Defensive Coordinator

According to reports in Detroit and Tampa, the Lions plan to replace ousted defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson with Buccaneers linebackers coach Joe Barry.

Barry worked with Lions Coach Rod Marinelli in Tampa when Marinelli was the Buccaneers' defensive line coach. He also is Marinelli's son-in-law.

Marinelli tried to hire Barry last year after getting the job in Detroit but was denied permission by the Buccaneers.
