Patriots to be Without R. Harrison in At Least Early Stages of Playoffs
The New England Patriots have suffered a significant loss for at least the early rounds of the playoffs: They'll be without safety Rodney Harrison because of an injury to his right knee suffered during Sunday's victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Harrison reportedly suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament that will keep him sidelined for 2-4 weeks. That would keep Harrison on the shelf at least for this weekend's first-round game against the New York Jets and perhaps longer.
The league ruled that the block on which Harrison was hurt against the Titans was clean, although Harrison and the Patriots had contended otherwise.
