T. Barber Has Classy Exit

PHILADELPHIA--Tiki Barber headed into retirement Sunday with his usual dignity.

The tailback ran for 137 yards in the New York Giants' first-round playoff loss at Philadelphia, then exchanged goodbyes with Eagles defenders Jeremiah Trotter and Brian Dawkins on the field after the game. Barber did not allow the disappointment of the Giants' 8-9 season to consume him as he leaves football at age 31 to continue his blossoming broadcasting career.

"We had a chance," he said. "That's all you can ask for. We didn't take advantage of it. But we did well. Guys should be proud."
