Dungy Says Colts Won't Know Cornerback Situation Until Sunday

MIAMI--The Indianapolis Colts probably won't know until shortly before game time Sunday whether cornerback Nick Harper will be available to play in the Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears, Coach Tony Dungy said today.

Harper suffered a sprained ankle in the AFC title game and didn't participate in the Colts' heavy practices Wednesday and Thursday. Harper has been running on a treadmill, according to Dungy.

"Our doctors feel pretty confident that he's going to be able to go," Dungy said. "What they aren't sure of is how long he'll be able to go at top speed. That's a decision we're going to have to make on Sunday after Nick warms up. I think he'll be very honest with me. He wants to play but he knows we've got guys that will do the job if he's not able to go. I think that will be a game-time decision."

Marlin Jackson, who had the game-clinching interception in the Colts' victory over the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game, likely would start Sunday if Harper can't play and Kelvin Hayden would receive increased playing time as well.

Remember his girl stabbed him in the thigh the day before the playoff game against the steelers. That's why they didn'y go to the Superbowl. He picked up that fumble from The Bus and tried to run it in, but got triped up by Rothelseberger. The B set him up.....
