Jaguars Reportedly Going Back to Leftwich as Starter

Jacksonville Jaguars Coach Jack Del Rio told the Florida Times-Union that Byron Leftwich, not David Garrard, will be the team's starting quarterback entering next season.

Leftwich was slowed by an ankle injury this past season and ended up on the injured reserve list. Garrard took over as the starter but failed to get the Jaguars to the playoffs. Leftwich and Del Rio sometimes had conflicting versions during the season about Leftwich's playing status, but now the club is recommitting to the former first-round draft pick as its starter.
