Reid to Remain Active in Eagles' Decisions, Just Not in Person

Eagles President Joe Banner said during a news conference today in Philadelphia that Coach Andy Reid will continue to have the final say over the team's player-related decisions even while he's on a leave of absence for approximately a month.

Reid is taking the leave to take care of family issues after two of his adult sons encountered legal problems in recent weeks.

Banner indicated that Reid won't be at the team's offices regularly but will continue to consult with other club officials by phone.
