Texans, Broncos Considering P. Ramsey

Free agent quarterback Patrick Ramsey visited the Houston Texans on Tuesday.

The former first-round draft choice by the Washington Redskins just was released by the New York Jets after one season as their backup.

The Texans are listening to trade offers for their starting quarterback, David Carr. It's possible they will try to complete a trade for Jake Plummer, who has indicated he will retire rather than play for his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Texans also have former Redskins backup Sage Rosenfels on their roster.

The Denver Broncos also have demonstrated interest in Ramsey. In Denver, Ramsey would replace traded veteran Jake Plummer as Jay Cutler's backup.

Ok, Spurrier gave Ramsey his happy-feet with his stupid 5 receiver/no blockers in the backfield offense and now Ramsey is considering Texas? Carr has been sacked about 155 times a year for the last 3 years or so. When did the Texas O-Line suddenly get good?

First play of the preseason:

"1st and 10, Ramsey takes the snap, drops back and...OH GOD I don't think he saw that coming! looks like his head bounced off of the turf twice...he's not getting up..."

Meanwhile Sage is spotted leaving the Texan's parking lot in full uniform...

God help anyone having to play behind that horrible line!
