C. Johnson Goes Second to Lions

NEW YORK--The Detroit Lions chose Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson with the second pick in the draft.

It's the fourth time in five years that the Lions have used a top-10 selection on a wideout, following the choices of Charles Rogers, Roy Williams and Mike Williams.

Several teams, including the Atlanta Falcons in particular, were interested in trading up to get Johnson. It's unclear if there will be further trade discussions regarding Johnson as the first round unfolds.
