Faneca Skips Steelers' Minicamp

Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca was a no-show for the Pittsburgh Steelers' voluntary minicamp this past weekend.

Faneca is entering the final season of a contract that pays him a salary of $3.375 million next season, and there apparently has been little progress on a possible extension. The Steelers have a mandatory minicamp scheduled next month.

Faneca met with first-year Steelers coach Mike Tomlin last week.
