J. Harrington to Falcons

Free agent quarterback Joey Harrington agreed to a two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

The former Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins starter is to back up Michael Vick in Atlanta. He replaces Matt Schaub, who was traded to the Houston Texans.

Harrington was a part-time starter for the Dolphins last season but was released after the season. He met with the Carolina Panthers last week, but they signed former Houston starter David Carr instead to back up Jake Delhomme.

When will the Falcons give up on Vick? They should turn him into a WR/KR while he still has speed.
