M. Turner's Camp Not Optimistic About Trade

The agent for San Diego Chargers backup tailback Michael Turner is saying he doesn't think his client will be traded.

Turner, who's stuck behind LaDainian Tomlinson in San Diego, has drawn interest from the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills. But agent Bus Cook told the Tennessean he's not counting on a trade.

"As of right now, it looks like Michael is going to be in San Diego," Cook told the newspaper. "Things could change, and it could happen on draft day, too."

Turner is a restricted free agent. The Chargers made him a tender offer that would require another team to provide first- and third-round draft picks as compensation to sign Turner, but San Diego might be willing to accept less in a trade.
