T. Johnson Also Facing Suspension
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell imposed lengthy suspensions on Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam (Pacman) Jones and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry this week under the league's conduct policy. According to sources familiar with the situation, Goodell also is virtually certain to suspend Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tank Johnson in the coming months.
Johnson recently was sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating his probation on a weapon charge. Johnson will be scheduled for a hearing before Goodell after his prison term, said one source who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, and then Goodell will make a decision.
On Tuesday, Goodell suspended Jones for the entire 2007 season and Henry for the first half of it.
