Titans Eye M. Turner

The Tennessee Titans met Monday with San Diego Chargers backup tailback Michael Turner, a restricted free agent.

The Chargers made a tender offer of $2.35 million for Turner, meaning that any team signing him to an offer sheet would have to surrender first- and third-round draft choices to San Diego if the Chargers decline to match the offer.

It would be possible for the Titans to obtain Turner for lesser compensation by working out a trade with the Chargers.

Tailback Corey Dillon, an unrestricted free agent, is scheduled to visit the Titans on Wednesday.

The Titans also re-signed free agent safety Donnie Nickey.
