Wistrom Retiring

Defensive end Grant Wistrom, who was released by the Seattle Seahawks last month, has decided to retire.

Wistrom told the Associated Press he's 99.9 percent certain he won't play next season and he plans to coach at the Springfield, Mo., high school at which his brother is the principal. Wistrom is only 30 but has been plagued by injuries. He's had 53 sacks in nine seasons with the St. Louis Rams and Seahawks.
