Browns Tell Andruzzi He's Being Cut

The Cleveland Browns have told guard Joe Andruzzi that they plan to release him this week.

Andruzzi has two seasons remaining on a four-year, $9 million contract.

Offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer is trying to get the Browns to trade him after they used the third overall selection in the NFL draft Saturday on Wisconsin left tackle Joe Thomas.
