K. Johnson Retiring, Heading to ESPN

Wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is retiring and heading straight into broadcasting, agreeing to join ESPN as an NFL analyst.

Johnson, 34, had 70 catches for 815 yards and four touchdowns for the Carolina Panthers last season but was released by the team following last month's NFL draft. Johnson met with the Tennessee Titans and reportedly also drew interest from the Oakland Raiders, but apparently wasn't getting the sort of contract offers that he wanted.

He has 814 receptions for 10,571 yards and 64 touchdowns in 11 NFL seasons for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Panthers.
