T. Warren Signs Extension With Patriots

The New England Patriots signed defensive end Ty Warren to a five-year contract extension that runs through the 2011 season.

A league source confirmed a report that the deal is worth $36 million, including $17.5 million in guaranteed money.

Now they have a young and talented defensive line signed through the 2009 season. It'll help maintain the number 2 scoring defense in footbal during the 2006 regular season for a few more years. Now if we can only pick up some more youth (and talent) at the linebacker position where Thomas and Colvin are the youngsters at about 30.
