Bears Beat Up on Defense
The Chicago Bears made a quarterback switch this week, from Rex Grossman to Brian Griese. But Coach Lovie Smith's biggest concern might be his lengthy list of injuries on defense.
Defensive tackle Tommie Harris, linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerbacks Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman all sat out Thursday's practice because of injuries. Safety Adam Archuleta practiced on a limited basis.
The unit already is without safety Mike Brown and tackle Dusty Dvoracek, who have suffered season-ending injuries.

Could this be another team that made the playoffs the previous year and not make it for this year. Still early, but the Bears are in big trouble! Their defense has been their bread-n-butter, and just may be too many injuries to overcome at a critical time for the team to put some wins together.
