Browns Agree to Trade C. Frye to Seahawks

The Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a trade that will send quarterback Charlie Frye to Seattle.

The Browns apparently receive a late-round draft pick in return.

The move gives the Seahawks the backup quarterback they'd been seeking, and perhaps means that the Browns will turn to rookie Brady Quinn as their starter.

Frye beat out Derek Anderson for the Browns' starting job entering the season. But Quinn, a first-round draft selection in April out of Notre Dame, played well during the preseason, and the Browns might be ready to turn to him. The club is bringing back Ken Dorsey, who is close to Quinn, to be its third quarterback.

Earlier today, the Seahawks traded defensive end Bryce Fisher to the Tennessee Titans for a draft choice.
