Everett Reportedly Could Be Transferred to Houston Hospital
There reportedly are arrangements being made to transfer Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett to a Houston-area hospital so that he can be near his home for his rehabilitation.
The Associated Press reported that the move could come by the end of this week. Everett grew up in Port Arthur, Tex., and lives in Houston.
Everett has been in the intensive care unit of a Buffalo hospital since sustaining a life-threatening spinal cord injury while making a tackle on a kickoff against the Denver Broncos in the Bills' opening game of the season. His doctors originally said it was unlikely that Everett ever would walk again, but have offered a more optimistic prognosis as Everett has regained some movement in his legs and arms. The Bills' doctor, John Marzo, said earlier this week that Everett had some movement in both hands.
