Saints Say Season Is Far From Lost

INDIANAPOLIS--The New Orleans Saints were the sport's feel-good story of last season. The early returns this season aren't promising, as they were overwhelmed by the Indianapolis Colts, 41-10, in the NFL's season-opening game Thursday night at the RCA Dome.

The Saints' postgame locker room was downcast, but players said they still believe the club will be among the league's best this season.

"It's a long season," defensive end Charles Grant said. "This football team will be one of the teams, in the end, playing for it all."
