Falcons Not Saying How Long Leftwich Will Be Sidelined

The Atlanta Falcons are on their bye this week, and it's unclear if Byron Leftwich will be healthy enough to remain their starting quarterback when they return from it.

Leftwich hurt his lower right leg during Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints in his first start since being promoted ahead of Joey Harrington. Leftwich underwent an MRI exam Monday but the Falcons declined to reveal the results.

Harrington presumably would reclaim the starting job if Leftwich is sidelined.
