P. Holmes Looking Good Enough in Practices to be Possibly Activated

Tailback Priest Holmes is said to have had good practices with the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday and Thursday, leaving open the possibility that he'll be activated for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Holmes is attempting to come back from a career-threatening neck injury and has been on the non-football injury list all season. This week was the first time he was eligible to practice.

He last played in a game in October 2005 and it was thought he was retired until he showed up for training camp this year. The Chiefs perhaps could find a role for him to play after they traded reserve tailback Michael Bennett to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.
