Romo's Father Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

The father of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo reportedly has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Romo told the Dallas Morning News that his 50-year-old father, Ramiro, was diagnosed last month and will undergo surgery soon.

"He's your dad," Romo told the newspaper. "You've been so close for so long, it can be a scary thing. I look forward to the day where we can spend a lot of time together."

Not a big 'BoysFan since I'm married to a SkinsFan, but I wouldn't wish this kind of thing on anybody.

Tony: Our prayers our with you, your Dad, and your entire family.

Things like this really put the whole thing into perspective - football is a "game". "Life" is where we really need to improve our teamwork.
