Runyan Hurt in Trainer's Room Spill But Expected to Keep Starting Streak Intact
Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Jon Runyan has made 183 consecutive starts, and he is saying that he plans to make No. 184 on Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field.
But it could be a painful one.
Runyan sat out the Eagles' practice today after suffering a bruised tailbone when he slipped and fell Thursday while getting into a tub in the trainer's room. Runyan was in discomfort today but both he and Coach Andy Reid indicated they expect Runyan to be able to start Sunday in what could be a virtual elimination game for the Eagles or Bears, both of which have struggled after being considered among the top NFC contenders entering the season.
