No Hearing in C. Rogers Bonus Forfeiture Case

The league and players' union waived a scheduled hearing this week in the case of former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers.

Instead, the two sides had a conference call Tuesday and submitted briefs. An arbitrator is to determine whether Rogers must return more than $10 million of his more than $14 million signing bonus to the Lions because he was suspended in 2005 for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy.
