Week 11 Rankings

The real question this week is where to put the Colts. When healthy, they're still clearly the second-best team in the league, and there is a gap between second and third. But in their current state, decimated by injuries, they're not that. They need Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark back to complement Reggie Wayne and give quarterback Peyton Manning some receiving options. They need Tony Ugoh at left tackle. But who knows when those key players are returning to the lineup, and now defensive end Dwight Freeney is to miss at least three weeks. It's frankly amazing that they came as close to winning as they did in San Diego on Sunday night, when a missed gimme field goal by Adam Vinatieri could have given them a victory on an evening in which they could find only 44 players for the active roster. The resolution? The Cowboys move up to second, while the Colts stay barely ahead of the Packers and Steelers at third.

the Skins are the lowest ranking team with a winning record. I guess it's fitting, sigh.

I don't think the Chargers should be at 7. They are one game above .500 with 3 teams below them with a 6-3 record.

I can't for the life of me understand how the Bolts move up after a performance like that. Sure they won, and granted, the "D" was awesome for three quarters, but special teams scored more than anybody else, but that was a game that should have had two losers.

Norv better try watching some of the Martyball tapes from last year. That LT guy (remember him?) can carry the offense more often than not. I just don't trust Rivers to come through in the clutch.

There's no way the Lions should be above anyone in the NFC East. So far they have been owned by a combined score of 90-24 - and I have a feeling that margin is only going to increase after next week's Giants game. They are by far the worst team with a winning record. This isn't me being a homer, it's me just looking at the facts.

seems fair to me.

i still think the steelers are better than the packers, although after their showing against cleveland, the gap is smaller than i had thought.

i can't wait to eek out a W over dallas, in dallas, to show all the "lost pundits" what the &*#@ is up

GB up!!

Nice to see the Browns holding steady at #10. It would be even nicer to see them bury the Ravens this weekend.
