Week 12 Picks

Thanksgiving Games

Packers at Lions
The Lions usually are tough at home and need this one after losing to the Giants last weekend. But the Packers are simply better, and they'll be highly motivated to maintain the importance of their game at Dallas a week later.
Pick: Packers

Jets at Cowboys
The Jets are coming off a win over the Steelers but won't be able to beat top teams back to back.
Pick: Cowboys

Colts at Falcons
How desperate do you have to be to believe that going back to Joey Harrington at quarterback is the answer?
Pick: Colts

Local Teams

Redskins at Buccaneers
The Bucs are getting the most out of what they have. But if the Redskins can play as well as they did at Dallas, this is a team they can beat.
Pick: Redskins

Ravens at Chargers
The Ravens are finding ways to lose that range from the embarrassing to the bizarre. But however you do it, losing is still losing.
Pick: Chargers

Lock of the Week

Eagles at Patriots (Sunday night)
Maybe the league's penalty against the Patriots for Spygate should have included making them play the rest of the season with 10 players on the field at a time. That at least would have kept their games competitive. Maybe.
Pick: Patriots

Upset of the Week

Seahawks at Rams
The Rams finally realized, eight games too late, that the regular season had started.
Pick: Rams

Games of the Week(end)

Texans at Browns
The Browns are living a charmed existence, given the way they beat the Ravens.
Pick: Browns

Bills at Jaguars
The Jaguars won't put up 56 points on the Bills, like the Patriots did, but they'll win.
Pick: Jaguars

Broncos at Bears
The Broncos are tied for first place, which says much more about the quality of the AFC West than it does about their play this season.
Pick: Bears

Other Games

Saints at Panthers
So much for the Saints getting back into the playoff picture.
Pick: Panthers

Raiders at Chiefs
The Chiefs are getting really, really shorthanded at running back, but it's the Raiders they're playing.
Pick: Chiefs

Titans at Bengals
The Titans bounce back from their dud of a performance Monday night in Denver.
Pick: Titans

Vikings at Giants
Last weekend's win in Detroit means that the Giants won't have to spend the week answering questions about another folding act in the second half of a season.
Pick: Giants

Niners at Cardinals
Don't look now, but the Cardinals are in the playoff chase.
Pick: Cardinals

Dolphins at Steelers (Monday night)
Is it possible to lose to the Jets and Dolphins back to back? Perhaps, but the Steelers won't do it even if Ricky Williams plays for Miami.
Pick: Steelers

Record
Last Week: 12-4
Season: 98-62

The Browns-Texans game has all the makings of a shootout. The Browns have found creative ways to win all season and I expect more of the same this week. Go Browns!!

Little confused from your comments.
Are you picking Chargers or Ravens?

Ravens at Chargers
The Ravens are finding ways to lose that range from the embarrassing to the bizarre. But however you do it, losing is still losing.
Pick: Ravens

You're right. That is a typo. The pick is Chargers.

Raiders at Chiefs
The Chiefs are getting really, really shorthanded at running back, but it's the Raiders they're playing.
Pick: Chiefs

Herman Edwards is the worst coach of this century!

I have watched many bad calls in last 35 years but no body can top Herman's calls in this game. He just gave away potential winning game to Raiders.

You are NO good. You are FIRED!
