Parcells-Falcons Deal Unravels

The near deal between Bill Parcells and the Atlanta Falcons has collapsed.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank traveled to Saratoga, N.Y., today to meet with Parcells at Parcells's home and try to complete a deal for the legendary coach to become the head of the team's football operations department.

But Parcells backed out of the deal, a person familiar with the talks said. Parcells also is said to be drawing interest from the Miami Dolphins for a front office position.
