Brady Misses Practice?

Quarterback Tom Brady wasn't on the field for the portion of the New England Patriots' practice that was open to reporters today in Foxborough, Mass.

The Patriots gave no indication about whether Brady participated in the other portion of the practice, and Coach Tom Belichick declined to comment on the condition of his quarterback, who reportedly has a mild high ankle sprain and was photographed in New York this week with a protective boot over his right foot.

"The injury report will be out next Wednesday and we're excited to get that to you," Belichick said at his news conference as reporters laughed. "That form will be filled out completely and I can't wait to get that to you because I know you're anxious for it."

The Patriots players reconvened in Foxborough today after being given Monday through Wednesday off by Belichick. The Patriots face the New York Giants a week from Sunday in the Super Bowl.
