Fisher Ousts Chow as Titans' Offensive Boss

The Tennessee Titans fired Norm Chow as their offensive coordinator.
They ranked 21st in the league in total offense and 22nd in scoring this season.

"Over the last week, we have done a lot of self-evaluation and I think we still have work ahead of us to reach our ultimate goal," Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said in a written statement released by the team. "I have informed Norm that he will not be retained as our offensive coordinator.

"I appreciate all of the hard work and contributions he made to the organization during his time here, but I have decided to go in a different direction and will start the process of finding a new offensive coordinator. We wish Norm and his family the best in their future endeavors."

Fisher is going to find out that the problem isn't Chow. He has a quarterback that is woefully inefficient when he throws the ball and he has no credible deep threats on the outside to stretch the field and take pressure off the run game. Fisher needs to upgrade the personnel on this side of the ball.

Chow may be better suited at Arizona to reunite with Leinhart.

Whoops. Hit submit too soon. Roy-I agree. Young is not a good passer, but is overlooked by his running.
