It's No Surprise That the Dolphins Are Willing to Trade the Top Pick

The Miami Dolphins have made it clear that they're willing to trade the top overall selection in the NFL draft in April.

No kidding.

Just about every year, the team with the top pick in the draft is willing, if not eager, to trade it. The price tag for the top choice goes up annually, and a team with multiple needs to fill can do better by trading down a few spots and gaining additional selections. It's particularly true in years, like this one, in which there's no clear-cut top pick.

But the question isn't whether the team with the top choice is willing to trade it. The question is whether any other team is willing to trade up for the top pick. More often than not, the answer is no.

I cannot see anyone trading up because this is the first draft in years that there is no clear cut number 1.
