McDaniels Might Agree to Redskins' Interview If Asked
GLENDALE, Ariz.--New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels isn't ruling out the possibility of agreeing to interview for the Washington Redskins' head coaching job, if asked, after the Super Bowl.
McDaniels, at the tender age of 31, oversaw a New England offense that set a single-season NFL scoring record this season. There are questions about how much credit he deserves for that, given that Coach Bill Belichick has taken a more hands-on approach with the club's offense since former coordinator Charlie Weis departed, and that quarterback Tom Brady is basically self-sufficient at this point in his career.
Still, McDaniels has become a rising star in coaching, much like former Patriots defensive coordinator Eric Mangini was before he left to become the head coach of the New York Jets. McDaniels declined to interview for head coaching jobs with the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons at the outset of the playoffs. But he said at today's Super Bowl media day that he would give consideration to any possibility to interview for a head coaching job after the Super Bowl.
"I haven't thought about that at all," McDaniels said. "At the time I made that decision, it was because I wanted to focus on the playoffs. If that comes up in the future, I'll make a decision at that time."
The Redskins are the only NFL team with a head coaching vacancy at the moment.

Guys i think anybody is better than fassel mcdaniels or spagnalo. I have looked at Mooch's record and he did a good job at SF. I hate the giants and seeing one of those to get the job would irriate me big time. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

Look guys, Snyder either:
1)has a coach who wanted Zorn/Blatche as coordinators,or
2)we're going to end up with a young nobody who'll accept the HC position just for the opportunity to add to his resume.
Knowing that he can't call the shots, can't bring in his staff, and has a t*rd for an owner...you know he'll be coming on board just for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
What do you think?

Yeah, Jash McDaniels is tired of being stifled in New England with Kraft, Scott Pioli and Belichick. What he wants to do is work for Vinny and Dan - the 2 smartest guys in the NFL.
Something tells me he's not going to take the job.

At this point I sure hope the next coach is Mooch or it will look like Danny and Vinny never had a plan.
