Parcells Keeps Cameron on Hold
Miami Dolphins front office chief Bill Parcells met Tuesday with the coach he inherited, Cam Cameron, without resolving Cameron's status with the team.
Parcells might hire a general manager before making a decision about Cameron, who went 1-15 this season as a rookie NFL head coach. Parcells, hired last week as the Dolphins' executive vice president of football operations, began meeting late Tuesday with Dallas Cowboys scouting executive Jeff Ireland. That meeting is scheduled to resume today. Ireland worked closely with Parcells in Dallas and is regarded as the favorite for the job.
Parcells interviewed New York Jets college scouting director Joey Clinkscales on Monday, just after firing Randy Mueller as the Dolphins' GM.
