Busy Panthers Sign Three Players
The Carolina Panthers were busy Thursday, signing three players to contracts.
The Panthers signed left tackle Travelle Wharton to a six-year deal. They signed safety Chris Harris to a four-year, approximately $12 million contract extension running through the 2012 season. They also signed defensive tackle Damione Lewis to the three-year deal to which he agreed last weekend.
"All three of these players have made significant contributions to our team, and we are pleased that they will be with us in the future," Panthers General Manager Marty Hurney said in a written statement released by the team. "They are all positive influences in the locker room as well as contributors on the field."
