C. Johnson Situation Escalating

The Chad Johnson situation seems to be escalating.

The wide receiver has been lobbying for a few weeks to leave the Cincinnati Bengals and play elsewhere next season. He went to Phoenix during Super Bowl week and mentioned several possible alternative destinations. Now he has moved on to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii and expressed his discontent again during an interview Thursday with the NFL Network.

According to several reports, Johnson refused to speak to other media members following that interview. Fox Sports reported on its Website that Johnson shoved and then stared down an NFL public relations official who attempted to intervene.

This makes other teams want to trade for him, how?

The Bengals need to handle him like Keyshawn/TO and sit him down for the year. His vacation away from the game may give him some time to reflect, or at least moonlight with the WWE for a bit.

So Chad Johnson thinks that no one succeeds in the NFL without speaking their mind and wants an example of someone who has succeeded without doing so?

My advice to Chad is to DRIVE from Cincinnati to Canton and visit the Hall of Fame (since that is the ONLY way he's going to get there) and he can see several players who have done it the right way.

The greatest players in NFL history have always succeeded bacause they were selfless, team-oriented professionals. Not verbose, self-promoting malcontents who created a wake of turmoil wherever they went.

If Chad Johnson wants an example - I will give him four - all of whom are receivers -Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Lynn Swann, and Art Monk.

So, Chad - I guess it is time to put up or shut up!

Doesn't this just make a trade even more unlikely? He drives down his trade value, making it even less likely that the Bengals will see value for him.

Does he think the Pats are going to offer up a 4th round pick for him?

Trade him to the 'Skins.

He asked us to show him a great that doesn't do the crap he does.......OK, how does Marvin Harrrison sound? Art Monk? Walter Payton...there's one. Ooooh, I know, Jim Brown.
Shut up Chad Johnson!!!! Please.

they have to get rid of them. Their season was officially over at half time during the Pats game. As soon as he stared yelling at the QB for his horribly run route you knew they were done. They might as well have traded him then. What team would want him though? I can't believe he would stay tame while not getting the ball like Moss did this past year. And if he is the only threat on a bad team, defenses will shut him down.
