C. Killings to Retire

Houston Texans defensive tackle Cedric Killings has decided to retire.

Killings suffered a fractured vertebra in his neck during a game against the Indianapolis Colts this past season. He regained the ability to walk the next day but was told by doctors he would be at an increased risk of suffering permanent paralysis if he continued to play.

"If there is a high risk, then it's time to do what's best for my family and not play any more," Killings told KRIV-TV in Houston.
