D. Smith to Chargers

Linebacker Derek Smith agreed Sunday to a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers.

Smith, who was released by the San Francisco 49ers, rejoins Chargers Coach Norv Turner, for whom Smith once played with the Washington Redskins.
