Panthers to Tag J. Gross

The Carolina Panthers plan to place their franchise tag on offensive tackle Jordan Gross today.

Gross would be paid $7.455 million for next season as the Panthers' franchise player.

The Panthers will retain both their starting offensive tackles after recently signing Travelle Wharton to a six-year, approximately $36 million contract extension.
