Raiders Tag Cornerback

The Oakland Raiders have applied their franchise player tag to cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

The former first-round draft pick would have a salary of $9.465 million next season if he remains the Raiders' franchise player.

Eight players league-wide now have been given their teams' franchise designations. The deadline for clubs to apply the tag is Thursday.
