D. Carr Agrees to Deal With Giants to Back Up Manning
Quarterback David Carr agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with the New York Giants to back up their Super Bowl-winning starter, Eli Manning.
The deal means that the Giants will have one former top overall selection in the NFL draft backing up another.
Carr rejoins Giants quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer, once his offensive coordinator in Houston. He'll be on his third team in three seasons after being released by the Texans and Carolina Panthers.
