Devery Henderson Staying With Saints

The New Orleans Saints re-signed wide receiver Devery Henderson to a one-year, $2 million contract.

It had been thought by many in the league that the speedy Henderson would leave New Orleans via free agency.

In other early-evening free agent news:

Cornerback Jacques Reeves, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, agreed to a five-year contract with the Houston Texans worth about $20 million.

Defensive tackle Spencer Johnson agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills, leaving the Minnesota Vikings.

Charlie Anderson, a linebacker formerly with the Houston Texans, agreed to a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the still-busy Miami Dolphins. The deal includes a $2.5 million signing bonus.
