Hair Proposal Might Be Shelved

PALM BEACH, Fla.--It's possible that the Kansas City Chiefs' proposal about players' hair length won't be voted on at this meeting and instead will be shelved until a future owners' meeting.

That would allow more time for the players' union and other interested parties to weigh in on the topic.

The Chiefs have proposed that a player's hair could not cover the name or number on his jersey. The proposal would have to be approved by at least 24 of the 32 teams.
