A Quick Thought On Favre's Denial of Reported Comeback Consideration
Brett Favre has denied the first report that he might be mulling a comeback. The Los Angeles Times reported this week that the quarterback's agent, Bus Cook, was quietly contacting teams, asking if they might be interested in trading for Favre. The story was denied by Favre, Cook and Green Bay Packers officials.
But the nature of Favre's retirement--coming so abruptly, and on the heels of such a successful season for him and the Packers--virtually ensures that there will be more such reports. Favre conceded at his retirement news conference that he'll wonder in the future if he made the right decision, and he'll miss the game on Sundays in the fall.
Just as there were many, many "Will he retire?" stories regarding Favre in the final seasons of his career, there are likely to be many, many "Will he come back?" stories in the initial stages of his retirement.

whoever wrote this article is a moron! Lets see, for whoever lived in Green Bay for their whole lives, this retirement did not come abruptly.....and for whoever wrote this article and thinks they have any idea of whats going on in the sports world.....hint.....new job....maybe for lifestyles of the rich and famous.

first and foremost let's say for the argumet sake Brett ended up in new England here comes the problem he can take Brady's job but the problem is this the pats orgainization is too cheap to pay his salary that is the biggest problem with this issue yes Brady is younger but the difference between the two is that Brady is still building his legacy where Brett legacy is already built.

He's done, people. I know it's hard to let go especially for Packer fans like myself. Just goes to show you how much the media and fans miss him already and the 2008 season is not even close. Let it go. And all of you sports writers out there - have you nothing better to report on?

Brett Favre loves the game to much to retire now. Especially since he came so close to the super bowl, and with such a good team. I respect him if he retires or if he stays, but I know I would love to see him 1 more year.
