Chiefs Are Thriving

The Kansas City Chiefs should be having a great draft, with all the picks they got in the Jared Allen trade with the Minnesota Vikings.

And they are.

Each of their first six selections were solid. In the first round, they got LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey with the fifth overall choice and Virginia offensive lineman Branden Albert, projected as a left tackle in the NFL, with the 15th selection.

But it didn't end there. The Chiefs got a good value pick in the second round in Virginia Tech cornerback Brandon Flowers, and three more in the third round in Texas tailback Jamaal Charles, Tennessee tight end Brad Cottam and N.C. State safety DaJuan Morgan.

They had six of the first 82 picks in the draft, and team president Carl Peterson has made the most of them.
