Few Surprises So Far
NEW YORK--Not too many huge surprises so far, other than the Ravens taking Joe Flacco 18th.
USC offensive tackle Sam Baker probably wasn't worthy of the 21st overall pick. But the offensive tackles were flying off the board, and the Falcons felt they couldn't wait. Seven of the draft's first 21 picks were offensive tackles (counting Branden Albert, a guard at Virginia expected to play left tackle in the NFL).
