M. Ryan Among Six Players Invited to Draft
The six players scheduled to be on hand at the draft in New York on April 26 are, according to the NFL Network, Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan, Virginia defensive end Chris Long, Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long, Arkansas running back Darren McFadden, LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey and Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston.
All are expected to be taken early in the first round. The one player who possibly could plummet, as fellow draft invitees (and fellow quarterbacks) Aaron Rodgers and Brady Quinn did in recent years, is Ryan.
The Miami Dolphins don't seem to be considering him for the top overall pick. Ryan could go to the Atlanta Falcons third, the Kansas City Chiefs fifth or the Baltimore Ravens eighth. But if he slips past that, he could be in for a Rodgers- and Quinn-like drop.
Rodgers fell to 24th in 2005 and Quinn to 22nd last year.

doubt Ryan gets past the Panthers - 13 or so. In Boston, there is speculation that if Ryan is around at #7, the Pats swing a deal to trade down with the Panthers for the Panthers 1st round choice and either Adam Seward (resign and trade) or draft picks.

There's just no way that Ryan slides as far as Rodgers or Quinn did, lets not forget that neither of them were considered (by the teams who selected a quarterback who wasn't one of them two at least!) as the premier QB in that years class. Personally, I'd be delighted to see him get past the Falcons, Chiefs and Ravens as then there's a good chance he ends up in Chicago and brings a whole new dimension to the worst QB "controversy" in history, Grossman vs. Kyle Orton :(
