Falcons Release J. Williams
The Atlanta Falcons released safety Jimmy Williams.
Williams was a former second-round draft pick out of Virginia Tech who'd quickly fallen into disfavor with new coach Mike Smith.
He reportedly showed up overweight for a voluntary minicamp and was demoted to the third-team defense.
