J. Peters Skipping Bills' Minicamp

Left tackle Jason Peters is skipping the Buffalo Bills' mandatory minicamp that opened Wednesday.

Peters has three seasons remaining on a five-year, $20.1 million contract that pays him a salary of $3.25 million next season. He wants a raise after a Pro Bowl season and has missed all of the Bills' offseason activities.

Coach Dick Jauron told reporters that Peters will be fined for missing the mandatory minicamp. He cannot be fined for missing voluntary practices.

Tailback Marshawn Lynch attended the minicamp even with his legal status in doubt as prosecutors try to determine whether he was the driver in a hit-and-run accident in which his vehicle reportedly was involved last month.
